2nd Line Support Engineer

Salary: £22,000 – £28,000 + Benefits

Location: Home based, West Midlands, Staffordshire

Excellent opportunity for career development and progression! With remote support experience to external customers within an IT Services company or IT Reseller, as a 2nd Line Support Engineer, you will support the team in some 1st and 2nd line helpdesk support activities. You will support the Senior Engineers, controlling the workflow through the business and satisfying the needs of the company’s vast array of clients dealing with our existing and growing client base. The role is varied, ranging from telephone and email support, through to remote support and occasionally onsite client visits to deal with any IT and communications aspects for clients.


Experience working for an IT Services company or IT Reseller, providing IT support to external customers
Own Vehicle
Clean UK Driver’s License
Ability to work securely from home (company will provide hardware)

Technical (experience)

Exchange 2013 or later
Active directory
Good understanding of the fundamentals of networking
General PC Hardware Maintenance/Repair
PC Domain Setup

Software/Brand (experience)

Windows 7 through 10 (Vista and prior are bonus)
Server 2012 through 2019
Storagecraft Suite (SPX/IM/cloud services)
Solarwinds RMM
Maxdesk Tickets
